THE STORY

Since a young age I have always been intrigued by fashion.  When I was 16, I started working in the fashion and styling industry.  I have been a licensed cosmetologist, model, stylist, and a lifestyle consultant.  There was only one problem; those professions didn’t let me truly express my own creativity.  As an outlet, I started designing swimsuits based on my fashion knowledge and my own experience as a fitness and bikini model.

I decided inspiration was needed and as fate would have it, I was fortunate enough to travel to the Mediterranean, chasing the sun. I fell in love with the fashion, vibe, positive energy, colors, and more importantly, the culture and attitude of the Mediterranean people. Shortly thereafter, I started THE LIDO BIKINI; swimwear that captures the true spirit of the Mediterranean.

While that story sounds seamless and easy peasy…it wasn’t.

I had to learn it all. I started from the bottom and learned everything…business management, manufacturing, even the sketches and patterns with no guidance and no financial help. After countless hours of research, nineteen hours of learning how to sew the first swimsuit and months of isolation and complete focus, I launched THE LIDO BIKINI.

My suits are designed to be sexy, classy, and versatile; while maintaining a seamless fit and comfortable feel. From my bikinis to my one pieces, every suit is made with quality materials and unique embellishments symbolic of my inspirational journey.  I hope you enjoy your suit as much as I enjoyed designing and creating it.

Future plans for THE LIDO include having swimsuits handmade by disadvantaged women around the world, with designs inspired by their culture.

Also, THE LIDO COSTUME is in progress; Burning Man gear, theme costumes, headpieces…etc. Stay tuned!
